An Alternative to a live band is to hire a disc jockey. "With the right sounds system, a DJ can offer quality entertainment for good value," says John Hubela, president of the Compact Disc Jockeys.

Hubela adds that couples also feel confident with the sounds they get from CDs. With an enormous library to choose from, Hubela's DJs can offer a larger variety of music. "The selections are geared toward what the newlyweds want," he says. "The presentation is always fun but dignified, not flashy."
